Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains what information Meridian Data Assurance collects when you visit this website or get in touch, why, and what rights you have over it. It's written in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, message on WhatsApp and ask.

Who this policy covers

Meridian Data Assurance is operated by Lawrence Ibrahim, an independent AI and software developer based in Nairobi, Kenya. This is a solo practice, not a registered company at this time. References to "we" or "us" in this policy mean Lawrence Ibrahim trading as Meridian Data Assurance.

What information is collected

This website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts to collect information about visitors. No information is collected automatically just from browsing the site.

Information is only collected when you choose to provide it, for example when you:

  • message on WhatsApp about a project;
  • share project details, documents, or account information needed to deliver a service; or
  • sign a Service Agreement for paid work.

This may include your name, phone number, business name, and whatever project-related information you choose to share.

How it's used

Information you share is used only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and deliver the service you've agreed to. It is not sold, and it is not shared with third parties except where strictly necessary to deliver a service you've requested — for example, sharing payment details with Safaricom's Daraja API to set up M-Pesa integration you've asked for.

Legal basis

Information is processed on the basis of your consent (you choosing to get in touch) and, once a project begins, to perform the Service Agreement between us. Where Kenyan law applies, this is consistent with the Data Protection Act, 2019, overseen by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

How long information is kept

Project-related information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to deliver the service and meet basic accounting obligations, then deleted on request. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time, subject to any legal or contractual reason to keep specific records.

Your rights

You can ask, at any time, to:

  • see what information is held about you;
  • correct anything inaccurate; or
  • have your information deleted, where there's no legal or contractual reason to keep it.

To do any of this, message on WhatsApp using the number below.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational steps are taken to protect information shared with us. No system is completely secure, and information is shared with us at your own risk.

Children

This website and these services are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Third-party links

This site links to WhatsApp and GitHub. Once you follow one of those links, that platform's own privacy policy applies — this policy only covers meridianai-ke.netlify.app itself.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
